Well we’re nearly 3 weeks in to HMRC’s new RTI payroll system, and we’re delighted to say that our own RTI ready outsourced payroll service has been inundated with lots of new clients who felt they didn’t have the time to get to grips with it and run it themselves.

But that’s just our experience, so we thought we would try and find out a bit more about what the experience companies across the country, especially SMEs, has been with RTI. After all, RTI has been the biggest change to the country’s payroll reporting since 1944.

According to the one survey, more than 80% of small businesses were unprepared for the introduction of RTI, with nearly half (46%) not even being aware of what it was, and only 1/3 being vaguely aware.
